Probate is the process of reviewing an individual’s Will by the court. Upon the review of the Will, the court will determine if the document is authentic and consistent with State Law. In addition, upon review, the court ensures that the Will accommodates for the settlement of the individual’s debts and taxes.

A typical Probate process takes anywhere between 6 months to 1 year to complete before the heirs named in the Will will be able to receive the inheritance.
